BAHNHOFBEATS 2025 - music videos between train noise and the sounds of the future

A UNIQUE SUPPORT PROJECT FOR EMERGING MUSIC ARTISTS
Five train stations. Five young artists. Five songs with original music videos, produced with heart, hands-on dedication, and digital know-how. BahnhofBeats 2025 is a nationwide creative support project by the initiatives Local Heroes e.V. and Mein Einkaufsbahnhof, with Spaced Entertainment providing full film and production support, from concept to final visual composition.
With support from Zoom Deutschland and music distributor RecordJet, the five artists began their journey. They collected sound recordings at train stations using the Zoom H6 Essential field recorder. Under the guidance of renowned music producer, coach, and musician David Pfeffer, they transformed these sounds into original songs—featuring a wide range of authentic railway noises. The acts were free to write in their chosen language, from German to English, and to explore genres from pop-punk to alt-pop.
FULL PRODUCTION WITH CREATIVE “FREEDOM”?
For some of the artists, this project was their first time experiencing the entire production process. They engaged in everything from recording and songwriting to video shoots, final music video editing, and a full digital release. This included radio placements and a social media campaign. Despite identical starting conditions using the Zoom H6 Essential, the result was five unique artistic statements. The release was celebrated with pop-up concerts at the stations, culminating in a joint live performance at the Erfurt Krämerbrücken Festival.
Blending art with business is often a difficult task—like mixing oil and water. But BahnhofBeats 2025 managed to stir things up just right. It created something authentic and unique for artists, fans, and the crew alike. This project became a vibrant platform for newcomers and creatives, where collaboration beats competition, and everyone lifts each other up.
THE FIVE MUSIC VIDEOS AND THE WINNER: DARLIN
FILMING IN + AROUND THE STATION
Deutsche Bahn transports around 1.93 million travelers daily through the main stations of this year’s featured cities: Berlin, Nuremberg, Erfurt, Wiesbaden, and Karlsruhe. Spaced Entertainment developed the visual concept, produced three dynamic music videos, five BTS reels, and managed the packaging for all five videos. Artist performances were filmed in and around the stations as well as in participating shops.

STRONG REACH & ENGAGEMENT
The five clips achieved over 478,000 organic YouTube views and more than 150,000 social media impressions—driven solely by the power of art and the reach of involved PR teams, broadcasters, active artists, fans, and project supporters. Winners got a music video, comprehensive social campaign, received radio placements and a 1000€ voucher for instruments or equipment. We hope the project continues to grow organically, and we’re excited for the next discoveries.
